1. Submission Overview

Manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Studies (IJMRS) must be original, academically sound, and relevant to the journal's scope.

All manuscripts must be submitted through the official IJMRS online submission system. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply with the journal's Author Guidelines, ethical requirements, and publication policies.

Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's basic technical or submission requirements may be returned to the authors for correction before entering the peer-review process.

2. General Submission Requirements

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that:

- The manuscript is original and has not been published previously.
- The manuscript is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal.
- The manuscript is prepared in an accepted editable file format.
- The manuscript follows the IJMRS formatting and referencing requirements.
- All listed authors have approved the submitted manuscript.
- Author names, affiliations, email addresses, and other metadata are entered accurately in the OJS system.
- Appropriate ethical approval and informed consent are provided where required.
- All sources and references are accurately cited.
- Any conflicts of interest are appropriately disclosed.
- The manuscript has been carefully reviewed for language, formatting, accuracy, and completeness before submission.

3. Required Submission Materials

Depending on the article type and nature of the research, authors may be required to submit:

- Manuscript
- Cover letter
- Author and contributorship information
- Conflict of interest declaration
- Ethical approval information, where applicable
- Informed consent documentation, where applicable
- Relevant reporting guideline checklist, where applicable
- Data availability statement, where applicable
- Other supporting documents requested by the editorial office

The editorial office may request additional documentation when necessary to properly evaluate a submission.

4. Manuscript Preparation and Formatting

Authors should prepare their manuscripts according to the current IJMRS Author Guidelines and the applicable article template.

Manuscripts should be clearly structured and contain all essential components appropriate to the selected article type.

Authors should ensure consistency in:

- Title and author information
- Abstract and keywords
- Headings and subheadings
- Tables and figures
- In-text citations and references
- Units, abbreviations, and terminology
- Ethical and methodological statements

Manuscripts requiring substantial technical correction may be returned to the authors before peer review.

5. Article Types

IJMRS considers scholarly contributions appropriate to its multidisciplinary scope, including:

- Original Research Articles
- Review Articles
- Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses
- Short Communications
- Case Reports and Case Series
- Methodological and Technical Articles
- Editorials and Commentaries
- Letters to the Editor

The editorial team may determine whether a submission is appropriate for a particular article category.

Authors should consult the specific requirements for their chosen article type before submission.

6. Research Ethics and Informed Consent

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their research complies with applicable ethical standards and relevant institutional or regulatory requirements.

Research involving human participants, identifiable personal information, or animals should include appropriate ethical approval or a clear explanation of why formal approval was not required, where applicable.

Informed consent should be obtained whenever required by the nature of the research.

For case reports or manuscripts containing identifiable personal information, appropriate consent for publication must be obtained.

7. Use of Artificial Intelligence

IJMRS recognizes that artificial intelligence (AI) tools may be used to assist with certain aspects of research and manuscript preparation. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of their work.

AI tools must not be listed as authors or co-authors.

Authors must disclose the use of AI tools when they have been used substantially in manuscript preparation, content generation, data analysis, translation, or other aspects of the research or publication process. The disclosure should identify the AI tool used and briefly describe the purpose for which it was used.

Authors are responsible for carefully reviewing and verifying all AI-assisted content, including factual statements, references, interpretations, and data.

AI-generated content must not be presented as original human work or used in a manner that constitutes plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or misrepresentation.

Failure to disclose substantive use of AI may be considered a breach of the journal's publication ethics and transparency requirements.

8. Authorship and Contributorship

Authorship should be based on substantial intellectual or scholarly contributions to the work.

All listed authors should:

- Make a meaningful contribution to the research or manuscript.
- Participate in drafting or critically revising the work.
- Approve the final version for publication.
- Accept responsibility for the integrity of the work.

Individuals who do not meet the criteria for authorship should be appropriately acknowledged where applicable.

Any changes to authorship after submission must be explained and approved by all affected authors.

9. Submission Process

IJMRS uses an online journal management system for manuscript submission and editorial processing.

Authors should:

1. Create an account or log in to their existing OJS account.
2. Start a new submission.
3. Select the appropriate article category.
4. Enter all required manuscript metadata.
5. Upload the manuscript and supporting documents.
6. Review all submission information carefully.
7. Complete and confirm the submission through OJS.

Authors should retain their submission confirmation and use the OJS system to monitor the progress of their manuscript.

10. Technical Screening

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial and technical assessment before peer review.

The screening may consider:

- Relevance to the journal's scope
- Originality and basic scholarly quality
- Manuscript structure and formatting
- Completeness of required documents
- Ethical considerations
- Authorship and disclosure information
- Plagiarism or inappropriate text similarity
- Compliance with submission requirements

A manuscript may be returned for correction or declined at this stage if it does not meet the journal's basic requirements.

11. Peer Review Process

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening may be sent to independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise.

Reviewers generally evaluate:

- Originality and significance
- Academic or scientific merit
- Methodological quality
- Accuracy and clarity
- Ethical compliance
- Quality of analysis and interpretation
- Quality of presentation and references

The journal may seek additional reviews when necessary. The final editorial decision is made by the editorial team based on the overall assessment of the manuscript.

12. Editorial Decisions

Following editorial assessment and peer review, a manuscript may receive one of the following decisions:

- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject

Authors receiving a revision decision should respond carefully to the comments provided by the reviewers and editorial team and submit a revised manuscript within the specified period.

Acceptance is subject to completion of the journal's editorial and production procedures.

13. Publication and Online Availability

Accepted manuscripts are prepared for publication after completion of the required editorial and production procedures.

IJMRS may publish accepted articles online on an ongoing basis. Published articles are subsequently included in the appropriate scheduled issue according to the journal's publication workflow.

A DOI is assigned to published articles in accordance with the journal's DOI registration arrangements.

14. Communication with the Editorial Office

All submission-related communication should be conducted through the official IJMRS OJS system or official journal email address.

Authors should include their manuscript title or submission ID when contacting the editorial office regarding a specific submission.

To maintain transparency and proper documentation, authors are encouraged to use official communication channels rather than contacting individual editorial members directly regarding editorial decisions.

15. Data Availability and Research Transparency

Authors should provide sufficient information about their methods and research procedures to promote transparency and allow readers to appropriately evaluate the work.

Where applicable, manuscripts should include:

- Data availability statement
- Ethical approval statement
- Informed consent statement
- Funding statement
- Conflict of interest statement
- Author contribution statement
- Appropriate reporting guideline or checklist

Authors are responsible for ensuring that research data, methods, results, interpretations, and references are presented accurately and transparently, subject to applicable privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property, and ethical requirements.
